Why leave things to chance? If you do not currently have a will or yours is out of date, this is exactly what you are doing. It is especially important to make a will if you have children, own property, have savings, or are a business owner.
Once you have made a will, it is important to review the same regularly to make sure that it reflects your ongoing wishes with regards to property and arrangements for any dependents. You should update your will following any of these events:

- Have children
- Buy a property

Make a Will for Charity
All four offices of Harold Stock & Co are taking part in the following charity will weeks:-
12th-16th September 2016 – The Christie Make a Will Week. Further information on the charity can be found here.
3rd – 9th October 2016 – Dr Kershaw’s Hospice Will Week. Further information on the charity can be found here
During the charity will week, we will prepare a will on your behalf in exchange for a donation to the charity. We will also advise you in relation to making a charitable gift within your will should you wish to do so.
Meet our Wills & Probate Team
Our Wills and Probate Team is based in our Stamford Street, Mossley office although they are able to see clients at any of our offices or at home.
The team is headed up by Solicitor, Claire Atkinson. Claire has extensive experience in all areas including wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate, trusts and Court of Protection.
Claire is assisted by Trainee Solicitor, Ivana Bailey who has developed a passion for this area of work during her training contract. Ivana will qualify as a Solicitor in October 2016 and will remain with the team.
Kelly Jackson, Paralegal also works alongside the team. Kelly has worked for Harold Stock & Co since the age of 16 and has gained extensive knowledge in this area of law.
Last but not least is Debra Walsh, Legal Secretary. Debra is the glue that keeps the team together and the friendly voice on the end of the telephone.
