We are on the move!

2nd October 2020 by Alexandra Newman

Harold Stock & Co have been based at Pole Lane in Failsworth for longer than we care to remember. The office has served us extremely well over the years and we have built up a loyal client base in the area. Over the past few years, we have started to outgrow the offices, not just in size but in the way in which we operate. We were in need of modern, flexible office accommodation and our Pole Lane base just didn’t meet those needs. So the hunt for new office space began a couple of weeks ago.

Earlier this week, the Directors signed the lease on a fantastic new office space within Ivy Business Centre, Crown Street, Failsworth.

Director, Darren McGuinness was based at our Pole Lane offices for many years. He says “we have a long connection with Failsworth and the local community here. We knew we needed to move but didn’t want to lose that connection. It was important to us to stay local, so we decided to move to the other end of the lane! We will continue to offer the full range of legal services from the Mill and once Covid restrictions are eased, look forward to welcoming clients old and new to our new home.”

Situated within Failsworth’s “Historic Quarter” and across the road from the iconic “Pole”, Ivy Mill is a former cotton mill. It is a major landmark within the Failsworth area. At one stage, the mill housed 75000 spindlers to produce 800000 yards of cotton! Production of cotton ceased in 1939 in response to the Second World War and the Lancaster Bomber was made at the mill instead.

The office is just off Oldham Road where there are excellent transport links from Oldham and Manchester. There is on site parking available for clients and visitors.

We can’t wait to be able to welcome clients old and new to the Mill. Due to Covid-19, we are currently only offering a limited number of face to face appointments where it is not possible to “meet” over the phone or via video call. From 19th October 2020, these appointments will take place in the modern meeting rooms at Ivy Business Centre as well as at our offices in Mossley and Stockport.

If you are in need of legal advice, we are here for you. You can call us on on 0161 682 2400 or email info@haroldstock.com.
