If you’ve recently returned from holiday and been forced to hang around the airport because of a flight delay, then you may be interested to hear about a case that came before the County Court in Manchester recently. In what was a test case over flight delays, the court ruled that Ryanair could not cut the time a passenger has in which to claim compensation from six years to two by adding a clause to the small print in its terms and conditions.

Mossley A.F.C 10k Run – A Review

Mossley A.F.C. 10K Run – 19th July 2015
Waking up on Sunday morning to a torrential downpour did not fill us with confidence for the day and the race ahead. Thankfully however, the rain stopped and the sun came out in time for the 10am start.
The process of registration was a breeze and we were soon on the pitch awaiting the starting gun. The crowd on supporters were fantastic and helped create a great atmosphere within the grounds.
Running for Harold Stock & Co were Paul Green (last year’s winner) and first time entrants, James O’Donnell, Angela Doggett, Kirsty Dunn, Tom Simpson, Alex Newman, Sarah Lowe, Stephen Douglas, Carol Douglas, Amanda Lockett and Heidi Otto.
Any one who has ever been to Mossley or Greenfield will guess that the course is not an easy one. There is very little “flat” to be found in Mossley. Undulating would be an accurate description of this course. A special thank you has to go to the marshals on the course. All volunteers giving up their time to make sure the runners stayed safe and on course. They were also very forthcoming with their kind words of encouragement as were the supporters gathered along the route.
First over the finish line was Paul Green, running on behalf of Harold Stock & Co. Paul crossed the line in 34.20 beating last year’s time of 35.24 – a truly astounding performance from Paul.

This year’s run saw double the number of entrants compared to the previous year and we have no doubt that next year’s will be even bigger. We take our hats off to the organisers at Mossley A.F.C. in particular, Harry Hulmes and Andrew Rowles who together with the help of the volunteers from club and community ensured the day went without a hitch.
We are proud to support such an event in our local community and are already planning our training for next year.

The Harold Stock & Co team ran on behalf of The Anthony Seddon Fund, a local mental health charity. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored us so far. This will have a massive impact upon the charity. If you would like to sponsor us, you can visit our Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/HaroldStockandco/

We were delighted to sponsor the annual Pro-Am at Ashton under Lyne golf club on Monday 29th June 2015. The event was really well organised by the Golf Club.
Despite the date coinciding with the opening day of Wimbledon, the weather was very good to us and a really good day was had by all.
We look forward to the next event.

Most people are aware of the importance of having a will professionally drawn, yet many simply do not get round to preparing and signing one.
Without a will, those you’d wish to benefit upon your death may not have any entitlement. A will is vital to protect your loved ones and those you wish to inherit.
